Teaching Cayuga
About This Program
Provides candidates with practical experience in developing teaching strategies in Cayuga conversational and written language education. Participants learn techniques in experiential education, critical pedagogy, and critically reflective assessment for the Indigenous language classroom. Candidates complete an independent study involving interview, translation or transcription, and narrative writing in accepted Cayuga orthographic forms.
