About This Program

A pre-apprenticeship program designed to prepare Indigenous people for a career as a Welder. Students learn to interpret blueprints, operate welding equipment, and apply industry safety standards. Includes 21 weeks of training and 1 week of direct industry experience. Covers SMAW, MIG, TIG welding processes, oxy-fuel cutting, metallurgy, and fabrication. Prepares students for Level 1 Apprenticeship.
